Lab data
Cherry Diesel potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 149 lab tests
In 149 state lab tests, Cherry Diesel flower had a median total THC of 18.10%, with the middle half of results between 16.60% and 19.79%; none reached 25%.1 In the 35 tests that report individual terpenes, all from Nevada labs, terpinolene leads, ahead of β-caryophyllene and α-humulene. Among the 44 strains in our dataset with at least 10 such tests, terpinolene leads in only 5.1 CBD is rare: all but one of the 42 tests that reported CBD stayed under 1%; the exception reported 11.91%.1

How published THC figures compare
Strain databases publish a single figure or a range: Leafly lists 23% THC (and 1% CBG) and AllBud 21–24%, while Weedmaps’ Cherry Diesel page gives no figure.2,3,4 The SeedFinder listings for MTG Seeds’ and ApeOrigin’s versions give no THC figure either, and Weedmaps’ separate Royal Cherry Diesel page lists 20–25%.5,6,7
In state lab results, nine in ten Cherry Diesel flower tests came in below 21.67%, so Leafly’s 23% sits above nine in ten results and AllBud’s range starts in the top quarter of results; the highest result was 24.94%.1 State medians ran from 17.83% in Michigan (107 tests) to 18.67% in Nevada (35).1

Limits of this data
- Coverage is uneven: Michigan (107), Nevada (35), Colorado (6), Massachusetts (1), so Michigan alone supplies 71.8% of tests. No matched tests come from California, where MTG Seeds is based. Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched.1,8
- Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. One lab accounts for 37.6% of these tests (10 labs in total).1
- Terpene medians come from 35 tests with individual terpene values, all from Nevada labs. Michigan reports no terpenes and no CBD, so the CBD figures come from the 42 tests from other states.1
- We matched names strictly: 36 results under related names (13 of them flower) were excluded, the largest group being "Dark Cherry Diesel" (11), along with crosses, and duplicate certificates are removed.1
