Energizing or sleepy?
Mostly energizing. Leafly places Cherry Diesel on the energizing side of its calming-to-energizing scale, AllBud describes effects that get you up and off the couch on a lazy day, and MTG Seeds calls it uplifting.1,2,4 Relaxed is still among Leafly users’ top three effects, so reports are mixed; versions differ too (see genetics).1
Why two batches can feel different
Potency alone varies: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 15.48% THC and one in ten above 21.67%, and state medians ranged from 17.83% in Michigan to 18.67% in Nevada.5 Names add to the spread: Weedmaps says Royal Cherry Diesel, which Leafly users rate mostly calming, may be a phenotype or naming variant of the same cross, and Lemon Cherry Diesel is a different strain altogether.6,7,8
