Cherry Diesel lab report

A tight THC spread is the clearest pattern for Cherry Diesel: its middle-half range is 3.19 points, the 5th-narrowest among 52 strains, even though its median ranks 48th of 52.1

Key findings

  1. For Cherry Diesel, the central THC interval is 16.60%–19.79%, only 3.19 points, which makes it the 5th-tightest spread out of 52 comparable strains.1
  2. Only 22% of 149 Cherry Diesel flower tests reached 20% THC or more; 0% reached 25% and 0% reached 30%.1
  3. In terpene-panel tests, terpinolene led 71%, while β-caryophyllene led 29%; the subset comes from Nevada.1
  4. The nearest terpene-profile matches for Cherry Diesel are Trainwreck (82%), Jack Herer (81%) and Super Lemon Haze (79%).1
  5. Annual median THC for Cherry Diesel was essentially flat, changing −0.35 points from 2020 to 2022.1
  6. In the Weedmaps pull, Cherry Diesel flower was listed by 15 stores and only 4 of 27 markets, leaving it 56th out of 58 strains tracked.2

Is most Cherry Diesel under 20% THC?

Yes, most Cherry Diesel flower tests were under 20% THC: 22% of the 149 tests reached 20% or more, or about 2 in 10; 0% reached 25% and 0% reached 30%.1

The state split is wide: Nevada's 35 tests had a 34% rate at 20% or more and a median of 18.67%, while Michigan's 107 tests had a 13% rate and a median of 17.83%.1 That gap also reflects each market's grower base, lab mix and testing rules, not the plant alone.

Does Cherry Diesel usually meet its listed THC?

No, Cherry Diesel did not usually meet its listed single THC value: the one single figure sits above the 18.10% lab median, and only 1.3% of tests got to Leafly's 23% mark, about 1 in 77.1,3

The one range we checked, AllBud's 21–24%, covered 13% of the lab results.1,4

Does terpinolene usually lead Cherry Diesel tests?

Yes, terpinolene usually led Cherry Diesel terpene tests: it was the top terpene in 71% of the 35 panels, about 7 in 10, while β-caryophyllene led 29%, making the lead consistent in this subset.1

All 35 terpene-panel tests came from Nevada, so these shares mainly describe Nevada flower rather than a multi-state mix.1

Which strains have a terpene profile like Cherry Diesel?

The strains with terpene profiles most like Cherry Diesel are Trainwreck, Jack Herer and Super Lemon Haze: Trainwreck overlaps 82%, Jack Herer overlaps 81% and Super Lemon Haze overlaps 79%; Papaya, led by limonene, is the farthest match at 44% within the 36-strain comparison.1

Method: for each strain, we take median values for eight terpenes and express them as percentages of the eight-terpene sum; the overlap is the shared portion of two mixes, and identical mixes score 100. Entry required at least 30 qualifying terpene tests.1 This is a lab-chemistry comparison only, not an effects forecast.

Did any Cherry Diesel tests reach 25% THC?

Among qualifying strains, no, none of the Cherry Diesel tests reached 25% THC; its share at 25% or more is 0%, ranked 51st, while its median total THC is 18.10%, 48th of 52, between Maui Wowie at 18.18% and Tropicana Cherry at 17.98%.1

For consistency, Cherry Diesel is near the tight end: from 16.60% to 19.79%, its central half covers 3.19 points, placing that interval 5th narrowest in the 52-strain spread table for names meeting the 30-test minimum.1

Are Cherry Diesel lab THC results close together?

For batches whose growers and state coverage differ, Cherry Diesel lab medians are close together: among the three labs meeting the 20-test cutoff, THC medians ran from 17.13% at Lab B (Michigan, 40 tests) to 18.68% at Lab C (Nevada, 30 tests), a gap of 1.55 points.1

Grower mix and batch selection differ by lab, so the range does not show that any lab is reading high. We anonymize labs on the page, with Lab A assigned to the largest test count; the download uses the actual lab names.

Has Cherry Diesel stayed steady over the years?

Yes, Cherry Diesel stayed essentially steady: the qualifying-year median moved from 18.41% in 2020 with 43 tests to 18.06% in 2022 with 36, for a change of −0.35 points overall.1

Keeping only Michigan changes little: 2020's median was 18.02% and 2022's was 17.83%, for −0.19 points.1 We omit years below 20 tests.1

Is Cherry Diesel mostly tested as flower?

Yes, Cherry Diesel was mostly tested as flower among exact-name lab records: flower accounted for 84% of 180 results, while concentrates at 6.1%, shake and trim at 5.6% and pre-rolls at 3.3% made up the main non-flower forms.1 This site's potency and terpene calculations use flower only.

Names that add words stay outside the exact-name set: 36 results used longer labels containing Cherry Diesel, equal to 17% of name-containing records; the largest were “Dark Cherry Diesel” (11), “MOCA Flowers - Pre Roll - Royal Cherry Diesel” (5) and “Royal Cherry Diesel” (3).1 Added wording, cross notes or CBD wording can change what the label refers to, so we keep them out under our matching method.

Is Cherry Diesel a rare find on menus?

Yes, Cherry Diesel was a rare menu find in the Oct 4, 2026 Weedmaps pull: within 50 miles of each market's center, across 27 market centers, 15 store listings carried Cherry Diesel flower in 4 markets, placing it 56th out of 58 tracked strains.2

Zero markets met the priced-eighth rule for Cherry Diesel, so this page does not compare its median eighth price with other tracked strains.2

What this data cannot tell you

  • We do not show a THC-versus-total-terpenes analysis for Cherry Diesel because fewer than 60 flower tests include both values.1
  • We do not report an eighth-price comparison because zero markets had 10 or more priced eighths of Cherry Diesel alongside 3 other priced strains.2
  • These results come from 4 states and cover Cherry Diesel flower tested between 2019 and 2023; they do not verify any jar, so the batch certificate of analysis is the jar-specific record.1
  • This page measures chemistry only; it does not say what the experience will be for any reader.
